Cha, cha CHANGES!

Over the next few weeks you wil start to see some changes around here... After 4 years of doing business as "MediaMasters" our name will be changing to "Jamie Weiss Photography"!

MediaMasters was originally created based on the video work that was done by my husband and I, however, we quickly switched gears to be totally focused on photography. So, the name just doesn't "fit" anymore, hence the upcoming change.

This is an exciting time as we will be rolling out a new logo, new website & new materials. However, there are so many things that will have to be changed that you will still see lingering effects of MediaMasters for a while.

I look forward to moving into the future with all of you and providing you with images that capture all of the memorable moments of your life. Thank you for letting me be a part of you family!

Tabi & Bob

Yesterday, Katie & I teamed up to shoot the wedding of Tabi & Bob at Heritage Park in Townsend, TN. They were such a laid back couple and it was really nice to see them just sit back and enjoy their day. Tabi looked beautiful... Throughout the entire day, she was contiuously smiling and she was a very happy bride. And Tabi definitely made her entrance... she arrived at the altar on a Harley, driven by her dad.

The ceremony was held under the pavillion at Heritage Park (due to the threat of rain) and it was a very nice intimate setting for the friends and family of Tabi & Bob. Following the ceremony, the altar was converted into a stage for the band to get the party started. The recption was complete with saucy BBQ Ribs, a delicious cake (Yes, I got a piece this time!) and of course... dancing!

And then Tabi couldn't resist joining the band for a shot at the drums... WOW, she was very good... you may just hear her on your radio someday!

Right-Brained or Left-Brained?

Ok, so for those of you who want to get to know me a little better... here are my results from a right-brained, left-brained quiz.

You Are 35% Left Brained, 65% Right Brained

The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.
Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.
If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.
Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.
Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.
If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.
Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

I always knew I was right-brained because I have no desire to do math, EVER! I would much rather be out with all of you creating beautiful images for you to treasure! So, to see if you are right or left brained, click the link above.

Amber & Chris

WOW! I don't know if I've ever had more fun on a shoot! I joined Amber & Chris last week in Knoxville to shoot their engagement session and I don't know what else to say except that we had lots of fun! And it must have been the heat, but we were continuously drawn to the water. You'll just have to check out the slideshow for the whole story.

Also, this is my first e-shoot where we actually saw another couple getting married in the park while we were shooting!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY (to us)!

Today, my husband and I have been married for 6 years. Just thought you all might like to reminisce with me and take a look at a few images from our wedding...

Katelyn - Senior 2007

I had a lot of fun last week with Katelyn as we toured Maryville for her senior session. We found lots of cool places to use as backdrops for her portraits. Sometimes when I go out, I have ideas of a few different places, but I always end up finding new places or scenes to use along the way. Even though we started later in the evening, it was still pretty warm. (And the fact that my A/C is not wokring right in my van doesn't help!) But we braved the heat and got some awesome pictures to document Katelyn for her upcoming senior year.

Of course the railroad tracks are always a great place for pictures....

And I can't leave out Samson and Delilah... Katelyn's dogs joined us for the session, too!

CONGRATULATIONS KATELYN!

Baby Micah is here!!

After a long day of induced labor and waiting, Baby Micah Graham was born last night at 10:52 PM. We had been marveling all afternoon and evening at the other babies in the nursery and their sizes, but when Micah came along, he took the prize for the biggest baby weighing in at 8 lbs 9 oz and he was 21 inches long! I think his daddy has been praying for a football player! UT had better start recruiting him soon or his daddy will send him to LSU!

I loved being there to see the anticipation all afternoon of Micah's pending arrival. Tim and Jill have such a kind and supportive family and I wish all of them the best. And let's not forget Big Sister Ella. She was such a trooper! A full day at the hospital waiting for her baby brother and her efforts finally paid off late last night. She is so proud of him and I'm sure she will be a great sister!

Senior 2007

Just like engagement session, High School Seniors are very fun to work with. We travel around to some of their favorite places, have a little fun and capture their personallity while were at it. Yesterday, I went around with Tim who will be a senior next year at Vero Beach High School in Vero Beach, FL. I was hoping to go to him so we could hang out on the beach, but instead he came to me! (His true love is the mountains, anyway.) Click here to see the fun we had.

My Family

I am always sharing pictures with you from lots of different events, so how about some pictures of me and my family. This is through the eyes of Christy Bonifacio, one of my associate photographers.

Thank you, Christy!

Rhonda & Bentley (and Charleah)

Last Saturday, I had the privilege of spending the afternoon with a great couple Rhonda & Bentley and their dog Charleah. We traveled around Maryville finding some unique locations to capture Rhonda & Bentley spending time together on a nice afternoon.
I really love shooting engagements because I get to hang out with couples and get to know them on a personal level. Getting to know Rhonda and Bentley has been great and I can tell that they will have a wonderful future together.

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep

I recently decided to donate my time to an organization called "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep." This organization was founded a little over a year ago to provide bereavement photography services to parents who are experiencing the loss of a child. These services are offered completely free for the families. If you know of anyone who is in need of our services, please feel free to have the family contact us. If you work in any facility that deals with families where our services might be needed from time to time (i.e., OB/GYN office, L&D at a local hospital, funeral home, hospice, etc.), please let me know so I can provide you with brochures about the services that are offered.

The Wedding of Alyssa & Philip

Last Saturday, John & I headed out to the Museum of Appalachia for the wedding of Alyssa & Philip. I had never been to the museum before, but it was a neat replica of an Appalachian Village. Their ceremony was held out in the middle of the village and there were peacocks roaming around everywhere. They kept spreading their feathers to get everyone's attention. The ceremony was very nice and the rain held off, too! The funniest thing was when one of the ring bearers went to make his way down the aisle and got hung up in the runner and fell straight to the ground. The look on his face was priceless.

Jeremiah

Here's the little cutie I got to spend the morning with on my first day back this week. At just 3 months old and 17 lbs, I think he is destined to be a football player. (And, I bet his daddy isn't upset about that at all!) If you want to see more, just click on the title to view his slideshow!

June 17

Yesterday Christy & I captured the wedding memories of Kristen & Adam. WOW! What a great wedding! Kristen & Adam decided to make their vows to each other in front of their friends and family surrounded by the beautiful scenery at Heritage Park. It was a little hot yesterday, but that didn't stop anyone from having a great time. The whole day was planned and coordinated very well by Maree Christian and she was there to ensure that everything was just perfect for the entire wedding party & guests. And I can't say enough about the gorgeous flowers designed by Samantha Anderson. The reception had great catering from Stokely's and an awesome band. (Sorry, but I forgot to ask anyone what their name was... I'll get back to you on that one.) All of the guests danced the night away and it was the perfect mix of Tennessee & Texas. Christy & I even got in on a dance with the minister! The whole event wrapped up with Kristen and Adam leaving through lines of guests with sparklers.
I'll be sure to share some great pictures with you soon, but for now... it's off to Alabama. I will be joining a group of 39 people from my church on a mission trip to Perry County, AL. We are leaving in just a few hours, but if you want to keep up with us while we are gone, visit www.montevistamissions.com. I''ll see you all when I get back!

Becky

I just pulled in from a bridal session today with Becky. She looked beautiful in her gown and wanted to choose a complimentary place for the session. Her choice was the University of Tennessee Botanical Gardens. There are so many blooming flowers and winding ivy that it's hard not to take a picture at every step. So here are a couple of my favorites from today.
