What a beautiful day!

On Saturday morning I was getting really nervous for Beth & Karl... I always put a lot of prayer time into the weather for all of my weddings, but especially the ones that are having outdoor ceremonies! Well, it appeared that my prayers had not been answered and that we were in for a rainy day. During the bridal breakfast (inside).... no rain, of course , but as soon as I head out for golf with Karl & the guys... yes, you guessed it... RAIN! But it didn't stop the game and it wasn't going to stop me either.
As I was leaving the golf course, it stopped raining and the day just continued to get better and better. Finally the sky turned from the ugly, stormy gray to the most beautiful shade of blue with clouds that were so perfect, they didn't even look real! This made for a gorgeous ceremony at Heritage Park in Townsend.
To top off this ceremony, they left in a horse drawn carriage!

Then it was off to an exciting reception at Maple Leaf Lodge where Beth and Karl had a great time with their friends and family. Everyone had such a fun time together and I don't think their was a single person who didn't grace the dance floor at some point during the evening. Even my own assistant, Jessica, got in on the action! It was definitely a fun night for all.

A big thanks goes out to Maree, the Heritage Park wedding coordinator for putting together such a beautiful day! And to my 2nd shooter, Karen & my assistant, Jessica, for making my job easier and more fun!

Karl & Beth - You had an awesome wedding and I hope you have a great life together!

Not just good...

It was more than just Good Friday for Sarah and Steve.... it was their wedding day! The shared a beautiful intimate ceremony with their friends and family in the family's home located in the historic district of Maryville. It was a beautiful house and made for a great weding location with its antique decor. I feel so priviledged that I get to visit so many neat locations each weekend, even if they are in my neck of the woods.

The Wedding of Becky & Nick

Jennifer & I got to spend April Fool's Day shooting the wedding of Becky & Nick at Fairview United Methodist in Maryville, TN. (Luckily, no one played any jokes on us!) Becky and Nick created a day centered around the things that they love and that are unique to them. One of my favorite things from he day was the video that Nick created from their engagement and it was shown to the guests immediate preceeding the ceremony. It was so neat to be able to take a behind the scenes look into what happened before the wedding! They also had a great reception at Butterfly Gap where they played lots of music, hand-picked by the bride & groom. And of course, since Nick loves golf... they left under an arch of golf clubs created by the groomsmen.

Shellie & Michael

Shellie & Michael had a beautiful wedding March 25 at Fountain City United Methodist Church. They were both so relaxed and just enjoyed the day with their friends and family. The ornate architechture of the church made for a great atmosphere for them to make their vows and start their lives together.
The church policies prevented anyone from shooting inside the church during the ceremony, but I was still able to get some great shots from out side the back doors and a few from the video both above. The church coordinator also did a wonderful job of keeping everything running smoothly. I loved shooting at FCUMC and I hope to shoot there again in the future.
